Monkeybook for WhatsApp is a browser extension for Monkeybook customers (businesses). It shows the Monkeybook bookings of the customer whose WhatsApp Web chat is open.

What the extension accesses

• The phone number of the chat that is open in WhatsApp Web.
• The Monkeybook login session of the signed-in user, or an API key the user pastes into the extension.

What it does with it

• Sends the phone number to the Monkeybook API (api.monkeybook.io) to look up orders in the signed-in user's own Monkeybook account. Results are shown only in the side panel.
• Stores the open chat's phone number, the language choice and the optional API key locally in the browser.

What it does not do

• It does not read, store, send or modify WhatsApp message content.
• It does not send any data to third parties, and data is not sold or used for advertising.
• The Monkeybook API does not store the looked-up phone number beyond standard request logs.
